Every year, a group of students from Naragakuen School, in Japan, visit Nguyen Sieu School as part of their annual Science Study Tour. The students tour the school and spend time in classes and bonding activities to understand what a typical day in the life of a Nguyen Sieu student is like.
This year's exchange took place on 17 December. Nguyen Sieu School was delighted to host the group of 18 students and 3 teachers on our campus.
The day started off with a visit to the school's Heritage Room, where our Japanese guests found out more about the School's establishment, milestones and achievements, as well as the figures who have played a key role in the success of our school.
During breaktime, students got to bond further over a few games of basketball in the courtyard played basketball during the breaks. That morning, students also presented to share and exchange aspects of Japan and Vietnam's cultures.
Our Nguyen Sieu students, or "hosts", put on special performances that the Japanese students really enjoyed, and helped the students to bond.
Later that day, the Vietnamese and Japanese students all attended English class together.
After that, they had an arts and crafts session, where they painted on a traditional Vietnamese hat, the "nón lá", and made bamboo dragonflies as meaningful gifts for their exchange partners.
