September 1991

Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High Schools are founded. In the first year, there are only 5 classes and 132 students ( 3 Grade 2 classes and 2 Grade 10 classes).

1994

The first class of Grade 12 students graduate from the High School – 100% pass the high school graduation examinations; 86% are eligible to enter universities, colleges and technical schools.

July 1993

Nguyen Sieu Primary School is established.

2003

Nguyen Sieu School moves into its current home in Cau Giay District.

2013

The Vietnam Integrated Programme is introduced.

2014 Nguyen Sieu launches the Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) programme, and becomes the first Vietnamese school to gain Cambridge accreditation for its Primary, Secondary and High Schools (VN236).

2014

Nguyen Sieu School becomes the first private school in Hanoi to be recognised as a High Quality School by the Ministry of Education and Training. This refers to the standard of teaching, support services, programmes and facilities.

2014

The International Office establishes the School's first international partnership with Skals Eftenskole in Denmark, to run short-term student exchanges.

2015

Nguyen Sieu School is recognised as an authorised testing centre for the University of Cambridge examinations in Vietnam.

2015

Nguyen Sieu School is featured by Microsoft as a Showcase School.

2016

Nguyen Sieu School celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

2016

The International Office establishes a partnership with Liceo Scientifico G. Galilei, a Cambridge international school in Siena, Italy, to run short-term student exchanges.

June 2016

The first batch of CAIE students sit for the IGCSEs.

Nguyen Thu Huong is named as one of Vietnam's top students, and receives the English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) prize for achieving the highest mark in Vietnam.

June 2017

Nguyen Thi Tu Quynh achieves the highest score for IGCSE subjects English as a Second Language (Speaking Endorsement) and Global Perspectives.

June 2018

Phan Ha An (Class 10S, AY2017-2018) is commended with the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award for achieving the highest score in the Cambridge IGCSE English as a Second Language examinations. 

July 2018

Nguyen Sieu School launches the International Foundation Pathway, in partnership with Massey University, New Zealand. This is the first ever international foundation programme to be implemented in Vietnam.

February 2019

The first cohort of International Foundation Pathway students travel to Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand, to begin the second phase of their foundation course.
