For the first year of offering AS programme, students at Nguyen Sieu School (NSS) have gained excellent results, and this provides them with a great foundation for entry into the International A Level programme, and later into the world’s best universities.
Last Tuesday (13/8), the senior students of Nguyen Sieu School received their results for the AS exam, and the records are nothing short of impressive! The overall pass rate was 100% -- with 90% students scoring A-C in 4 of their chosen subjects namely Biology, Physics, Maths and Global Perspectives. 40% of the entries were awarded the highest grades of A, and 80% of the grades in Mathematics are classified as A. Such undertaking is a tremendous achievement for the students and the teachers of the academe.
One student in particular, Do Minh Anh, achieved an A grade in all 3 subjects she took. This commendable feat in the Cambridge Exams will serve as an invaluable foundation for entry into the International A Level studies program, and later on, for entry into many prestigious universities across the world.
These most recent exam records are the fruit of a long and arduous but carefully thought-of journey. Nguyen Sieu students follow a combination of the Vietnamese National Curriculum and the Cambridge International Curriculum, from Primary up to Year 12. At grade 9, students begin the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). The rigorous nature of taking 2 programs of study together is implemented by the school to ensure that our students are offered the best training in order for them to fully explore and maximize their potential.
With bright eyes and still hearts, Nguyen Sieu students will keep marching on with the world’s finest universities well within their reach. We applaud these academic warriors for their courage, their perseverance, and more importantly, for their complete confidence in their teachers. We also want to extend our huge appreciation to all the members of the faculty, most especially to Ms. Danielle, Ms. Alex, Mr. Robert and Mr. Collin, for their incomparable dedication to teaching. Kudos!
