Mr Nguyen Trong Vinh's letter regarding the start of Nguyen Sieu Memory space
OPEN LETTER
To dearest colleagues, generations of student parents
and our beloved pupils of Nguyen Sieu School!
Almost 30 years had passed, since the day our school, Nguyen Sieu Secondary and High school (1991), and Nguyen Sieu Primary school (1993) were first founded. the school with 8 times of changing its location, portrayed as “peddler with bamboo carrying pole” finally could have settled here at Yen Hoa since 2004, with the name “Nguyen Sieu Primary – Secondary & High school”.
As a teacher, a military man, I have dedicated my life to the path of education since the liberation day in 1954; alongside with my life partner – Mrs. Duong Thi Thinh and my colleagues, we founded the school, devoted our hearts and souls for teaching, for our beloved Nguyen Sieu School. Throughout the years, there were countless generations of teachers and students, and parents, and friends, who contributed to and built up our school, leaving so many precious, unforgettable memories.
Heading towards Nguyen Sieu school’s 30th anniversary, our school has plans to renovate the Tradition Room into Nguyen Sieu Museum, creating a space that chronicles the rich history and remarkable milestones, creating the cultural-historical values of the school.
The Memoir Area is the reason that I am writing this letter, as the head and on behalf of Nguyen Sieu school, wishing that colleagues, friends, parents, alumni, and students of Nguyen Sieu School, work together to collect and contribute images, documents, artifacts … related to your time with school. For each photo, keepsake, or documents, the school wishes to receive your information on them: the owner, name and description, quantity, origin, history, and especially the story to share…
